Hello and Happy New Years

I wanted to jump on and talk a little bit about new year's' resolutions.  I know it's a popular phrase this time of the year.  Let me just say I don't believe in New Years' Resolutions because it has become so generic and they slip off our tongue like butter but also die just as quick.  If I decide to do something to better myself I've learned to start when it first comes to me. I will not eat like a elephant in November and December and start the diet in January, February, or March that I should have started in November.  During the holiday season you say?, yes.  Learn to implement the project or task when it first comes to you. Our good decisions are usually snatched away by mental distractions or forgetfulness. Once again, when the brilliance hits get to work right away.  There is a reason. This was an extra nugget and not even the point of this blog but it's good nonetheless.

On to my point, If you are really serious about making any time of change, upgrade, or project you need a mentor. You may say why and I would ask how did the last new year's resolution go?  The mentor is not to tell you what your doing wrong or there to always breathe down your back.  The mentor is designed to help you achieve what you said you wanted.  The mentor is really a servant to you and a teacher at the same time.  They support, sharpen, upgrade, and hold you accountable to make sure you succeed.  The only benefit the mentor gets is seeing you win and seeing all your hard work paying off. They listen when the challenge becomes greater and it feels like kryptonite and your Superman.  Powerful in all things except this hurdle. The Mentor can be the antidote to your kryptonite.
The mentor will perfect what your trying to achieve but only if you allow it.
